Assistant Professor at NYCU

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), starting from Feb. 2026. I am the director of Social Lab (人本訊號運算實驗室).

I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in 2025, under supervision of Prof. Chi-Chun (Jeremy) Lee in the BIIC Lab.

My research interest primarily revolves around human-centered analytics, affective computing, machine learning and multimodal (speech, physiology, gesture) signal processing.

Recently, I have broadened my research scope to address critical aspects of trustworthy AI, focusing on privacy, fairness, and bias within emotion recognition technologies. I am particularly interested in how these ethical considerations can be integrated into existing and new technologies to foster responsible AI development. Additionally, I investigate the potential of various modalities, such as speech and physiological signals, in understanding and predicting human behaviors. I also develop novel machine learning and deep learning models with applications in various domains, including emotion recognition, dyadic interaction and healthcare.
